Climber

Ashton has decided it's fun to climb on everything now. He likes to climb on Carson's little table and also move this foot-stool to different areas of the house so he can see better!

Father's Day Thanks

Happy Father's Day! Today I would like to take the time to thank you for being a wonderful dad to Carson and Ashton. They are lucky to have you as a dad! There isn't a day that goes by that you don't show them how much you love them. Whether it's telling them or trying to give them kisses, hugs, letting them jump all over you, or just spending time with them. So, thank you for all you do for all of us. I hope our boys grow-up to be like you. Enjoy your day (I know you are going to take advantage of it)! We love you!

Also, a thank you to my dad for everything you have done for me all of these years and continue to do for me. You have always been there for me and I really appreciate it. Carson and Ashton are very luck to have you for a grandpa. I hope they will remember everything you have done for them as well. I wish we were closer so we could celebrate this day with you and thank you in person. We love you!

Father Hennepin Days

This weekend was Father Hennepin Days here in Champlin. It's our mini-fair! On Friday we went to the parade where Carson got lots of candy.

Then on Saturday night we went to the carnival so the boys could ride the rides and play games.

Carson even won a giant hammer that is as tall as he is!

We even let Carson stay up to watch the fireworks. Then on Sunday we ended the weekend with a trip to the park. We are glad the weather was so nice so we could attend all of the festivities!

Brotherly Love

Here are a couple of pictures of the boys actually sitting nicely together. Usually Ashton won't sit long enough for me to take a picture and Carson won't sit by him.

Screened

Carson had his early childhood screening on Friday for preschool. I can't believe he is going to start preschool in the fall. He's getting so big! He passed his test and did pretty good. They checked his eyes and his hearing. The eye test went well, but not the hearing test. He didn't want to put the headsets on, so we have to get Carson re-screened in the fall. They also did his height and weight. He is 37 7/8 inches tall (20th percentile) and weights in at 29 pounds (10th percentile). Poor kid is never going to get to 30 pounds! Hopefully at his 4 year check-up he'll weigh over 30 pounds!

Career Change...again

Well, I've decided to take a new job, where I actually make money! My current job didn't turn out to be what I was told it would be. I really don't think the owner knows what's going on and I know it will take me awhile to get to the place where I have a steady income. That stress isn't worth it for me and my family. So, I accepted a job with HealthPartners as a proposal writer and start on the 15th. I met the other two writers and they seem very nice and I think I will fit in nicely! The company seems very family oriented and a good place to work. The drive is a little further that I would like, but I think I'll be able to start early enough to not deal with too much traffic. At this point, I'm just excited to get a job in this economy. I also will have to start working Friday's again, but it's time! I'm hoping to stay at this job for a long time!
