Wisconsin Dells
Well, we made the trip to the Wisconsin Dells on Sunday and came home on Wednesday. We met our friends from Illinois there. Justin and Leslie have been friends of ours since our days at UND. They have twin one-year old girls, Ainsley and Poppy. So, yes there were 4 kids under the age of 3! It was quite crazy, but fun at the same time. We stayed at The Wilderness, which is huge and has a ton of water parks. We did make it to at least one water park everyday. Carson still was a little young to want to ride any of the slides, but everything is so kid friendly, so there was plenty for him to play with. We took Ashton in the water the first day, but after that we took turns watching him, while Carson played in the water. Ainsley and Poppy loved the water and were more daring than Carson was!
Leslie and I got to go to the Sundra Spa on Monday morning, while the boys stayed home with the kids. We both got to relax and each got a facial. It was nice to have the peace and quiet. When we got home, all the kids were down for naps! Amazing! It was the boys turn on Tuesday and they went golfing in the afternoon. Then it was time for one last water park on Wednesday and then we had to pack-up and head home to the real world again. It would've been nice to have one more day. We are going to try and make this an annual tradition. I think next year will be a lot more fun!

4 Month Update
Today was Ashton's 4 month check-up. He is looking good and seems to be right on track. Here's his stats: 14 lbs. 9 oz., 25 1/2 inches long and his head is 16 1/4 cm. He's in about the 25% for weight and head and 50% for length (must be taking after Paul). I couldn't find Carson's information from his 4 month appointment, but I think he was around 13 pounds. It's nice to have one kid that is actually on the chart for weight! Poor Carson....he's going to be taking after me! Ashton doesn't seem to be as bothered with the shots this time, but we'll see what happens in a couple of hours when the Tylenol wears off! Ashton is now rolling over onto his tummy and has been for a couple of weeks now. He's even doing it at night. A couple of weeks ago I went into his room to get him because he was fussing and I found him on his tummy with his legs through the holes in the crib! He was stuck! It was pretty funny!
I am finally feeling better after I got antibiotics for an infection. It was not muscle spasms as the ER doctor and chiropractor had said. I knew it wasn't, but I'm not a doctor! I think Paul's happy to have me back...he wasn't very fond of taking care of three of us for a week! But, while I was sick, he did manage to talk me into buying a new car. We got a 2005 Acura MDX and got rid of Paul's car. It was time, especially with 2 kids! We'll be testing out how big it really is this Sunday when we head to the Wisconsin Dells for a couple of days!

Emergency Room Visit #2
Well, we made it to the ER again. This time it was for me. I ended up having excruciating pain on my right lower back/side. I tried to stay home, but Paul made me go. So, my brother came over to stay with the boys while we went. We arrived at about 11:00pm and thought we would be home in 2 hours or so. Boy, we couldn't have been more wrong. It was the worst experience ever, and we will never be going back to that ER again. I got in right away to a room, but waited 3 HOURS before the doctor could see me and give me pain medication. Yes, 3 HOURS! Then it took another hour before I actually got the pain meds. Once I took them, I got sick. So, Paul called the nurse button and told them. She said she would tell someone, but that didn't happen. My nurse stopped by about a half hour later to see how the medicine was working and Paul told her that I had gotten sick. She asked him if he was able to tell anyone. Paul told her she had let the nurse know awhile ago. She left and then came back another hour later to start an IV. At this time I refused the IV because some of the pain medicine must have stayed down and it was working. She said she would let the doctor know. So, guess what time she stopped by again. Yep, you guessed it, an hour later. She said she would give me a couple of subscriptions, one for pain and one for muscle spasms, and then we could be discharged. Yes, that took another hour. We FINALLY got discharged at 6:15am.
The trip was pointless because they didn't run any tests to see if I had kidney stones, bladder infection or anything else. Because I've started going to a chiropractor, she just said it was because of the adjustments. I go back tomorrow, so we'll see what he says then. I guess if it happens again, I will go to an actual doctor. The best part, is that they never did empty the garbage can in our room, so that was fun to smell the entire time we were there. When we got home, my brother had to go and open the Elk River store and we were able to sleep for an hour. Then Paul got up with the boys, so I could sleep longer. Then it was Paul's turn for bed. We did manage to get the boys down for naps at the same time so Paul and I could sleep more. So, it will be an early night tonight!

Our Trip to Como Zoo
Here are some pics from when we went to Como Zoo a couple of weeks ago. It was Carson's second time there and he enjoyed it more this time. He liked to see the animals, but I think he was more interested in seeing the trucks digging and driving around. He even got to see an excavator digging dirt. Yes, Carson does know what an excavator is...I think he can name just about every truck (Thanks Allison and Ross for the Twenty Trucks video for his b-day last year). They also have an area to ride rides, so of course, he wanted to ride those! So, he got to go on a couple of car rides and a choo choo ride again. We didn't use all of the tickets, so we'll be going back again later this summer. Hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th of July. We don't have any plans and will be just hanging around here.
