Visiting Fargo then SD Visitors
Last weekend we made the trip to Fargo and stayed with our friend's Ross and Allison and their son, Gus. The boys all had fun playing together. The adults had fun playing a little Texas Hold'Em poker after the kids went to bed! We even had time to get Ashton's 1 year pictures taken. The weather was a little cold, but they turned out great.
This past Friday our friend's Anne and Jason were in town and brought their two girls, Gretchen and Enna over. Again more fun was had while they all played together and even ate snacks together.
Gretchen and Carson sported their cool sunglasses. I think Gretchen was trying to make the moves on Carson!

Mr. Ashton
A couple of weeks ago we moved Ashton into his big boy car seat. I think he likes to face forward now. However, he's still not a good traveler and won't sleep while on long trips. So, I guess we won't be going anywhere for awhile.
Ashton now thinks it's fun to take all of the dish towels out of the drawer on a daily basis. We might have to put a safety lock on it, just so I don't have to pick them up everyday.
He also learned that the drawer under the stove opens and the pans inside make loud noises when you bang them together or against the stove. This is also something he thinks is fun to do on a daily basis.

Easter Eggstravaganza
Carson had fun this weekend dying Easter eggs and also finding the eggs and a big chocolate bunny that the Easter bunny brought. Ashton also enjoyed playing with the eggs and the duck that he got from the Easter bunny.
My brother and his girlfriend came to church with us and then came over for brunch. Then it was just the four of us for dinner. It was a nice way to spend Easter Sunday.

Nature Center
Last Tuesday, I went with the boys on a field trip with our day care to the Nature Center. Our kids were the only ones at day care last week, so she thought it would be a good opportunity to take the small group somewhere close. The boys had fun playing with puzzles, looking at the animals and running around inside and outside.

Employed Again
It's official. I start my new job next Monday. I'm excited to start something new. I guess it's time for a career change. I will be working for a company called HR Personnel Services. They are a recruitment firm and my job will be to call companies to see if they want to use our services. I get to work Monday-Thursday again and will eventually get to work from home, which will be great since Carson starts pre-school two days a week in September. Hopefully this new venture will turn out to be a good choice. I'm not very good at staying home by myself during the day, so it will be good to get back to the working world.

Party Time & An Egg Hunt
On Friday we went to a birthday party for Carson's friend from day care, James. We had some pizza and birthday cake.
Then James opened his presents and Carson helped show off one of the presents. No, we didn't let him get his ear pierced already, it's just a clip-on pirate earing. I'm sure the grandpa's would love it if Carson got his ear pierced already!
On Saturday, I took the boys to the Easter egg hunt at one of our local parks. It's not really an Easter egg hunt because they just put all the eggs on the soccer field. Each kid was allowed five eggs. It lasted about two minutes! At least the weather was nice.
