Last Saturday we went over to our friend's, Mike and Michelle's house to have a BBQ and see all of our good friend's that were there. It was a good time and we had some great food! Then on Sunday we went to Brainerd to see Paul's brother and his family and Paul's parents. Paul's brother and dad cooked prime rib on the grill and it was yummy. The boys had fun playing with their cousin, riding on the little 4-wheeler, and swinging. It was a a great weekend and the boys were very tired out by Monday.

Fun With Grandparents
This past weekend Carson and Ashton had fun with their Grandma and Papa yellow house! We distinguish the grandparents by what color their houses are. Of course my parents had to bring presents for the boys, even though I told them not to. Carson got a new garbage truck (which Ashton broke the first day by throwing it on the ground numerous times) and Ashton got a new bulldozer.
We broke down and took the boys to Chuck E Cheese. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. They are still a little young, so we won't be going back for a couple of years. Carson did have fun playing a couple of games and riding in the various cars.
It was a very nice weekend, so we also went to the duck park. We call it that because it has a pond with lots of ducks to feed. This time, they didn't get too close because I think the mommy ducks were still nesting. The boys had a fun time playing on the swings and slides. Ashton also thought it was fun to try and run as fast as he could, laughing and making sure someone was chasing him.

My Mom is Special
Today at daycare the kids made cards for Mother's Day and filled in the blanks when asked questions about their mom's. Here are Carson's responses:
My mom's favorite color is brown.
Her favorite animal is a cow.
My mom likes to play toys with me.
My mom is a good cook. I love when she makes spaghetti.
My mom reads firetruck books to me.
My mom takes me to Heidi's.
My mom likes to go to work.
If my mom was an animal, she would be a pig. (Not sure how I feel about this one)
My mom is pretty.
I like when my mom goes down the purple slide with me.
If my mom was a flower, she would be a dandelion.
I like to sing this song with my mom. "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star"
My mom does this for me. She does laundry.
I love my mom because I do.
Pretty cute! I love you too Carson!

Trucks, Trucks and More Trucks
Yesterday we went to Vehicle Day here in Champlin. They have lots and lots of trucks for the kids to look at and play in. Carson had so much fun going from truck to truck. His favorite was the Firetruck. We spent the most time at that one. They had a tow truck too, and that was his second favorite. He is now going to be a Firefighter when he grows up!
