Girls Weekend

On Friday I picked one of my best friends up from the airport. Sara was here from California and I haven't seen her in a couple of years. We went to lunch and spent some time catching up. Then it was time to go to Stacy and Luke's house for a BBQ.

Saturday we left early and were off to Detroit Lakes for the 10,000 Lakes Festival (10KLF). We were meeting our other good friend's there for the Dave Matthews Band concert later that night. We spent the day hanging out at the lake and then to dinner.

Then it was time for the concert! We had a great time!

It was so great to have all of us together again! I hope it happens again soon. Sunday another friend of ours came to visit since we hadn't seen her in a long time either.

It was a whirlwind weekend, but so worth all of it. I took Sara to the airport this morning and she arrived back in LA safely. I'm sure her 4 kids were happy to have her back. Thanks for letting us borrow her, but I miss you already and can't wait until we can see you again!

Our Firefighter

Yesterday we got Carson a firetruck sprinkler set. It sprays water out of the fire hydrant, a hose and a canon out of the back of the firetruck. Carson loved it. He liked to pretend he was a firefighter putting out fires at our house.

All we can say is....

thanks Michelle!

16 Month Update

Well, we are a month late getting Ashton in for his 15 month check-up. Since I started a new job we were waiting for the new insurance to start and get everything set-up. Here's the stats on Ashton: He is 22 pounds and has jumped up to the 10th percentile on weight and is 31 inches long and went down to the 25th percentile on height. We knew it would start to happen soon, his parents aren't that tall. On a side note, Carson weighed in at 30 pounds...FINALLY! Everything looked good for Ashton and we will be back for his 19 month check-up, since we are a month behind!

A Tour of the Cities

On Saturday we thought we would go to a couple of places we haven't been before and spend some time outside. Our first stop was Minnehaha Park. We thought it would be cool to see the waterfall there. However, it wasn't a waterfall, it was more like a sprinkle. You had to walk down a lot of steps to get close to see anything, so that didn't work well with strollers. So, we walked around the park a little more and then headed off to our next destination.

Fort Snelling was close, so we decided to go there next. We walked around a little bit, but decided against going on the tour because it was getting close to lunch time. I think we will go back there again to see what we missed out on.

4th of July in Fargo

For the 4th of July weekend we went to Fargo and met my parents there for the weekend. It was nice to have the extra day off. We went to the zoo as soon as we got there.

Then it was time to ride the carousel and play at the playground.

There was lots of fun to be had at the pool both Friday and Saturday nights.

There was even time for grandma to read books and to have pillow fights with grandpa.
