Como Zoo

On Sunday we took advantage of the nice weather and took the boys to the Como Zoo in St. Paul. We started out at the conservatory and saw giant lily pads.

Then it was off to see the animals. Some of them were active.

Some of them were not.

Then it was time to ride some of the rides. Carson got to ride in a firetruck. Ashton even got to ride on the train and in a car with Carson. He was a good big brother and held on to him, so he wouldn't fall out.

$1 Sub Saturday

Last Saturday from 11-3, our Jimmy John's in Buffalo sold $1 subs. In 4 hours they sold over 1,500 subs! Here are some pictures from that day.

Mark trying to get customers to buy the subs! I think he succeeded!

The line starting to form.

Over 40 boxes of bread. Started baking the bread at 9:00pm on Friday night and never stopped!

Gutting the bread to make the subs!

Back to see Thomas!

We went to see Thomas the Train for the third year in a row! It was a little windy and looked like it was going to rain. But, we made it without getting rained on. Carson had a good time!

He played in the sandboxes and went down the slide!

We saw Thomas and rode in the little train.

Then we listened to Carson blow his Thomas whistle all the way home!

Wrestlers!

Here are a couple of pictures of the boys wrestling. I think Ashton was winning.

Pop Cans as Legos?

Ashton thought it would be fun to use pop cans as legos. I didn't let the fun last too long because it wouldn't be fun to clean up once one exploded!

Back to Reality

It was nice to get home after our vacation and get back to reality. We took the boys to the park, which they love. Ashton loved going down the big slides by himself. It was a nice cool day to let the boys play.

Annual Trip

We left on Tuesday for our annual trip to Wisconsin Dells. This year there were 12 of us (6 adults and 6 kids) so we rented a condo. It was really nice and big enough for all of us to fit in comfortably. I think we made it to every water park in the complex. They have a nice mixture of indoor and outdoor water parks, so depending on temperature or time of day, there is always somewhere to go. We also played in the big indoor playland and Carson got to go to the arcade. Carson even got to paint a firetruck piggy bank, which will be sent to our house this week. The girls went to the spa one day and the boys went golfing the next day. It was a great time and we can't wait to go again next year!
