Apple Farm

On Saturday we decided to check out one of the local apple farms. The boys had a fun time. There was a petting zoo, a hay maze, an apple shooter and tractor rides. Of course, there were lots of apples, too.

Duck Park

Today we decided to take advantage of the nice weather we have been having lately and take the boys to the park. They had fun playing at the playground.

Then it was time to feed the ducks (which is why we call it the duck park). As soon as you start throwing bread, the ducks start coming! It's crazy how many there were.

Birthday Party Time

On Saturday we went up to Brainerd for our nephew, Anthony's, second birthday party! The boys love going there because there is so much room to play outside. They got to ride on the little kids 4-Wheeler and Ashton rode on the big one with daddy.

Anthony had a cool monster truck cake. Carson wants one like this for his birthday now!

Then Anthony got to open his presents, while Carson supervised.

The boys played a little bit longer and then it was time to go back home. They both fell asleep on the way home. They were exhausted. It was a fun day! Happy Birthday Anthony!

First Day of Pre-School

Today was Carson's first day of pre-school. We went for only an hour and got to meet his two teachers, meet half of his class and play at the different stations. He seemed to like it and cried when we left because he wanted to stay longer. We will see how it goes on Thursday when we drop him off and don't stay.

Labor Day at the Lake

Labor Day weekend was spent at Huddle's Resort in Walker, MN with our friends Allison and Ross, and their son, Gus & Mike and Michelle and their daughter, Gabby. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. We spent time in the heated pool.

Went to the park to let the kids play together and burn off some of their energy!

We went to the beach and played in the sand and lake. This was Carson's favorite thing to do. He brought buckets, shovels, a bulldozer and excavator.

There were also turtle races. Carson won $2.25 on his turtles. They also let the kids help carry the turtles back to the starting box. After the races, they let the turtles back in the lake (with their names still ducktaped on their shells)!

Carson also got to enjoy his first campfire and roasting marshmallows.

It was a great, relaxing weekend! We already booked a cabin for next year!
